Examination and 3D CT scan: Bone height and width, and the position of the sinuses and nerves are assessed.
Digital planning: Implant angles and prosthesis design are planned with digital impressions and smile design.
Surgery day: Any necessary extractions are carried out and four implants are placed. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia; sedation can be considered for anxious patients.
Immediate loading: If adequate primary stability is achieved, temporary fixed teeth are fitted on the same day or within a few days.
Permanent prosthesis: After healing and osseointegration, the permanent bridge is made. Depending on preference, an acrylic-titanium hybrid or zirconia prosthesis is fitted.

Is All-on-4 painful?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Afterwards there may be swelling and tenderness for a few days, which is controlled with painkillers.

Can All-on-4 be done for a patient with bone loss?

Thanks to the angled placement of the back implants, it can be performed in many cases of bone loss without the need for a graft. The final decision is made based on the CT scan; if bone is severely insufficient, zygomatic implants or grafting options are considered.

Can diabetic patients have All-on-4?

Implant treatment can be planned for diabetic patients whose blood sugar is under control. HbA1c values and healing risk are assessed together with your dentist.

Do All-on-4 teeth come out while eating?

No. The prosthesis is screwed onto the implants; it can only be removed by the dentist for check-ups and maintenance.
